- Enter Webmanager (http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/webmanager/webmanager.cgi) and select
"Virtual Host Manager" (top button on the right column).
- You will see an example line:
virtualhost.com|http://yourdomain.com/subdirectory/|This is Virtualhost.Com|
and a text box below that.
- The text box may contain further examples or instructions. Delete everything in the text box
before typing in your configuration commands.
- These are the variables in the example line above:
- "virtualhost.com" refers to the domain of the domain you wish to map to your existing or
"main" server.
- "http://yourdomain.com/subdirectory/" refers to the actual directory name the virtual domain
is to be mapped to.
- "This is Virtualhost.com" refers to the title of the index page of the virtually hosted domain.
- Therefore, if you wish to map the domain name "grubbyoranges.com" onto your website "twistedfruit.com," you should upload all your files for "grubbyoranges.com" in the directory "http://www.twistedfruit.com/grubbyoranges", and the configuration comman
d to enter would be:
grubbyoranges.com|http://twistedfruit.com/grubbyoranges/|Welcome to my Grubby Oranges Page|
